Potchefstroom Meetup – CreateZA South Africa Tour 2021
The 2021 CreateZA tour is in full swing, following the first creators’ meetup of the year in Potchefstroom. The Pretoria event was the first CreateZA tour workshop, our presenters Sheldon Zam, Caleb Janssens and Tenn iBair gave valuable insight on how content creators can step up their game.
The event was held at Outdoorphoto (ODP), in Garsfontein, the scenery inside ODP was perfectly suited for a creators workshop. Although the rain was coming down heavily in the early parts of the morning, the event was beaming with smiling faces, people networking and socializing.
The workshop programme featured three major fundamentals of content production:
- Knowing Your Why presented by Sheldon Zam,
- Preproduction, Production, and Postproduction presented by Tenn iBair,
- SEO presented by Caleb Janssens
The presentations were followed by a fun and interactive quiz. After the quiz, Sheldon Zam announced the winners of our giveaways. Our giveaways were sponsored by our sponsors Godox SA, the National Film & Video Foundation, and ODP, who sponsored us with a great venue.
Following the giveaways was a Q&A session with our panelists. Our three panelists for the day were Thato Rampedi, Owamie Hlongwane of Owamie Entertainment, who both happen to be a part of Youtube Black, and last but not least our third panelist was none other than our very own Caleb Janssens. The panelists engaged the creators with real advice on the societal and psychological stresses that come with fame and being a paid content creation.
Altogether the first workshop of the 2021 CreateZA tour was filled with laughter, networking, and collaborations amongst content creators. We look forward to the next one, see you in Durban.
